Property Taxes in North & West Vancouver
A number of factors determine the amount of your property taxes. The B.C. Assessment Authority is the governing body that determines the value of your property. They conduct an assessment of your property’s market value as of July 1st each year. On December 31st of each year, the B.C. Assessment Authority mails a Property Assessment Notice to each property owner. The City of North Vancouver determines property taxes by applying current tax rates approved by council to the assessed market value of your property (according to the B.C. Assessment Authority) to ascertain the amount of taxes you are required to pay each year.
